Fine pattern of Edo Komon developed during Edo Period, while splashed pattern or 'kasuri' prevailed during Meiji Period.
New Edo Kiriko has been created by changing and combining cutting techniques in order to represent the fabric pattern which had not been depicted by cutting alone.
