Kagami Crystal Co., Ltd. established by Kozo Kagami, opened Japan’s first crystal glass factory in 1934.

In 1943, the company was honored by its appointment as a supplier of furnishings to mark the marriage of H.I.H. Princess Shigeko, the eldest daughter of H.M. Emperor Hirohito.

Since then, Kagami Crystal has received special commissions from the Imperial family on many occasions. In 1968, we supplied glassware for the new palace on the orders of the Imperial Household Agency.

In 1974, we received a commission to provide glassware for use on official occasions at the State Guesthouse and its Japanese annex building.

Reflecting our reputation as Japan’s leading supplier of superior glassware, our products are widely used at official receptions to entertain state guests and foreign dignitaries.

Today, Japanese embassies and consulates in more than 250 countries around the world use Kagami Crystal glassware, and the company takes pride in its reputation for producing “the best quality crystal in Japan.” Demonstrating its advanced glass techniques, the company has diversified its production to create crystal craftware, custom-made goods and a wide variety of crystal products, including bottles for luxury liquor and perfumes.
