カガミクリスタルの歩み
  1934 Kozo Kagami opened Japan’s first crystal glass factory “Kagami Crystal Manufacturing Company” in Kamata, Tokyo.
Received Special Award at the Chicago international Expo. “A Century of Progress”(for an artwork by Kozo Kagami)
 
1937 Received Special Award at the World Expo 1937 in Paris(for an artwork by Kozo Kagami)
1939 Received Special Award at the World Expo 1939 in New York(for an artwork by Kozo Kagami)
1943 Appointed as a supplier of furnishings to the Imperial family
1948 Began supplying bottles for Shiseido White Rose perfume
1952 Started supplying crystal glass products and fixtures to Japanese embassies and consulates outside Japan, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
1958 Received the Grand Prize at the World Expo 1958 in Brussels(for an artwork by Kozo Kagami)
1959 Appointed as a supplier of furnishings upon the marriage of Crown Prince Akihito and Crown Princess Michiko
Received a prize at the International Exhibition of Glass, held in USA (five out of six prize winners from Japan were from Kagami Crystal)
1960 Supplied crystal building products to the newly constructed Togu Palace (Crown Prince’s palace)
Japan Art Academy Award was conferred upon Kozo Kagami
1961 Supplied crystal building products to the Fukiage Palace
1962 Medal with Yellow Ribbon was conferred upon Kozo Kagami
1964 Started supplying bottles for Suntory Imperial whiskey
1965 Entered into new business fields of watches, office machinery and electronics with, newly developed special glass processing technologies
1966 The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays was conferred upon Kozo Kagami
1968 Supplied furnishings, tableware and chandeliers to the new palace
1971 Showrooms in Ginza and Osaka opened.
1974 Supplied glassware and Japanese tableware for official receptions to be used at the State Guesthouse in Akasaka.
1975 Supplied the company’s “new stemware line” to the Imperial Household Agency
1982 Appointed as a supplier of gifts to be used by the Togu Palace
1985 Separated the company’s special glass business and established NSG Hightech Products Co., Ltd.
Changed the company’s name to Kagami Crystal Co., Ltd. The founder, Kozo Kagami passed away.
1990 Supplied furnishings to be used for the official funeral of Emperor Showa
Relocated the head office and the factory to Rugasaki-shi, Ibaraki from Ota-ku, Tokyo. Commenced a new factory
1992 Supplied tableware to the Akasaka Palace
1993 Appointed as a supplier of crystal glassware upon the marriage of Crown Prince Naruhito and Princess Masako
1996 Renamed the Tokyo showroom and Osaka showroom to the Tokyo branch and Osaka branch
Held an exhibition to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Kozo Kagami at Wako Hall in Ginza
1997 Supplied the company’s “new stemware line” to Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be used at Japanese embassies and consulates overseas
Designated as a Traditional Local Craft Art by Ibaraki prefecture
2002 Edo-kiriko( traditional Japanese cut glass) was designated as a traditional handicraft by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry
Supplied crystal glassware to newly constructed Prime Minister’s official residence
2003 Relocated the Tokyo and Osaka branches
“GINZASHOP KAGAMI” opened.
